About Garn Mabey

Garn Mabey is a husband, father, grandfather, and a physician who has lived and worked in Nevada for 39 years.

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and grew up in Rexburg, Idaho. He graduated from Brigham Young University. Between his freshman and sophomore year he served a two- year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Spain.

After graduation, he attended and graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania. He then completed a four- year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at theUniversity of Nevada affiliated residency program in Las Vegas and is board certified.

He has delivered thousands of babies and helped women to live a healthier life.

From 2002 to 2009, he served three terms in the Nevada State Assembly in Carson City. During his last term, he served as the minority leader. He inherited the political bug from his Grandfather Mabey who was the first mayor of Malad, Idaho and his Great Uncle who was the governor of Utah.

He has been married to his wife, Sheri, for 43 years and they have five children and 12 grandchildren.
